Associate Director, Healthcare Economics

This position provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance and the analytic outcomes of Healthcare Economics Managers, Consultants, and Analysts. The Associate Director provides direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of team. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges. Influences and provides input to forecasting and planning activities.
The Associate Director of Healthcare Economics will perform critical research and investigation of key business problems. This position will oversee team efforts and provide guidance for the team to perform analyses and reporting on efficiency of inpatient management. The Associate Director is expected to provide ongoing communications on project status, analysis results and conclusions for the affordability plan and Medical Necessity implementation.
Required:
- Undergraduate degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Health or related field
- 7+ years of data analytics; Experience analyzing prior authorizations and / or claims data is highly preferred
- 5+ years of healthcare industry experience
- Team lead or management experience
- Proficient with SAS
- Proficient with MS Access, Word and Excel
- Strong consultative skills demonstrated by previous client-facing experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
Preferred:
- Master's degree
