Our Client wishes to recruit a building-services (MEP) Associate Director. You will be responsible for the profitable expansion of a key business unit with an annual fee income of approx. £1m. The Group is now well-developed in key sectors and wishes to strengthen its retail offering within Europe. You must be considered to be an expert in ME building-services design and offer outstanding quality and value to previous clients.

About the Client:

Our Client is a global building services (MEP) consultancy with offices throughout the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East. The annual fee income of the Group exceeds £12m. They are a recognised leader on making sustainable building-services design commercially attractive in the built environment.

About the Role:

Leading a team, as the Client Representative, throughout the tender process, bid analysis, design-review management, project and cost management, through to completion with an emphasis on commercial management;
You lead a team on a variety of projects, in the retail sector, for instance, retail parks, shopping centres, and new-build developments;
The average size of the building-services project will be £3m;
A typical project may be to redesign the MEP services for a European retail Group over a fast-track six-month period, £300,000 up to £1.5m, or 18-month programmes for £7m of building services.

About the Candidate:

You must be a mechanical or electrical building-services professional;
Ideally you will be a building-services (MEP) Chartered Engineer - mechanical or electrical;
You will have a background working within a major building-services (MEP) consulting firm;
You will have experience as a Associate/Project Director on major retail projects up to and exceeding £7m for services with a focus on innovative low-energy solutions;
You will have strong fee-generating connections within the retail sector working with blue-chip retail Clients across their property portfolio;
Over the last two years your division will have exceeded the average fee income of your consulting firm and achieved in excess of a 15% profit margin;
You will show how you currently have autonomy to grow the fee income with Clients and the profitable success of this work;
You will be an expert targeting Clients and creating fee income within the retail sector;
You will have managed fee incomes and accounts from FTSE 250 firms.
