Job Summary
- Responsible for executing ECM transactions across the North East Asia and Greater China region covering aspects of deal structuring, syndication, marketing and distribution
Key Responsibilities
- Independent and professional execution of ECM transactions, including IPOs, private/public placements, block trades and different types of follow-on offerings, key duties will cover handling all relevant documentation, book-building and liaison with other syndicates, etc.
- Assist the team leader in the origination of equity and equity-linked transactions, including preparation of external marketing materials and internal analysis and approval documentation, in an efficient manner
- Familiarity in the legal aspects of the required underwriting documentation for ECM transactions and drive communication with underwriters’ lawyers
- Responsible for coordinating all aspects of syndication independently for live transactions
Requirements
- No less than 4 years of experience in ECM and/or equity syndicate with reputable investment banks; familiarity developed in all underwriting aspects and procedures is essential;
- Attained all regulatory criteria for carrying out ECM activities, including previously being approved as a holder of the SFC license for type 1 6 regulated activities;
- Proven active track record in executing Hong Kong IPOs and follow-on transactions with diversified deal exposure gained with international and/or reputable regional investment banks;
- Degree holder in Finance or related discipline(s) from a reputable university and/or with professional qualifications in Accountancy/Legal; MBA and/or CFA will be advantageous;
- Excellent command of written and fluency in spoken English, Putonghua and Cantonese;
- Good multi-tasking skills to manage various imminent deals concurrently in a professional and organized manner;
- A team player and proactive personality to liaise between Corporate Finance and Sales Research, as well as to coordinate with other ECM desks, external clients and other working parties;
- Strong mathematical skills and accuracy in detail;
- Willingness to travel across the Greater China region; and
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and competence in using Dealogic system for book-building and allocation.
