Essential Job Functions
- KBCM Associates work with industry and product group bankers in cross-functional teams, originating and executing a wide variety of financial advisory and capital markets mandates.
- Associates have day-to-day responsibility for transaction execution support and new business development, and serve as a critical bridge between KBCM's senior professionals and analyst staff.
- Associates interact regularly with senior bankers, clients, prospective buyers/money sources, attorneys and accountants.
- Experienced associates learn to manage transactions and interface directly in presentation, negotiation, capital-raising and closing and play a central role in coordinating the activities of all team members.
- Additional responsibilities include supporting senior bankers in developing junior analysts and helping with special projects to further develop our franchise.
Required Qualifications
- Investment banking, corporate finance or other relevant experience (e.g. accounting; legal)
- Technology Industry experience in Software, and IT Services preferred (I-Banking or Direct Industry experience)
- Undergraduate degree with minimum 3.5 GPA preferred
- MBA preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Strong quantitative skills, including financial modeling and financial statement analysis (including MA and Capital Raising)
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving ability
