Position Description:
Morgan Stanley Co. LLC seeks Associate, Investment Banking Division in New York, NY to develop and manage relationships with corporate clients, and provide financial and advisory services ranging from transaction execution to business development initiatives. Plan, structure, and execute debt and equity financing transactions in the public and private markets. Advise corporations on mergers, acquisitions, sell-side transactions and restructurings. Advise private equity firms on MA, capital markets, real estate, and financing transactions. Perform financial, valuation analysis including returns analysis, merger accretion-dilution, financing options, valuation modeling, discounted cash flow analysis, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed company and industry research. Prepare financial accounting information, and prepare client, management, and board of directors presentations, as well as sell-side information memoranda and fairness opinion materials. Advise clients on and execute additional complex domestic and international transactions including divestitures, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, spin-offs, exchange offers, LBOs, and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts. Mentor analysts. Utilize technologies including Factset, Bloomberg, Merger Metrics, ThomsonOne, CERA, SNL, CapIQ, and equity research and credit reports.
Skills Required:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field or equivalent, and two (2) years of corporate finance experience advising on and executing domestic and international MA, Capital Market, LBO, debt, and equity financing transactions for clients on behalf of a global financial services institution. Prior experience must include preparing financial accounting information; performing financial and valuation analysis, including returns analysis, merger accretion-dilution, financing options, discounted cash flow analysis, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and valuation modeling; developing client, management, and Board of Directors presentations, sell-side information memorandum and fairness opinion materials; and conducting company and industry research utilizing Factset, Bloomberg, MergerMetrics, ThomsonOne, CapIQ, CERA, SNL, equity research, and credit reports.
