Role Description
This individual is responsible for executing iShares marketing campaigns that target financial advisors and their end-clients. The primary focus of the role is to partner with select brokerage firms to execute co-marketing initiatives, in addition to supporting broader iShares marketing efforts that target advisors. This individual must be able to understand advisor needs and tailor iShares marketing campaigns and material to meet those needs.
Responsibilities
- Understand advisor and investor behaviors and trends so that we can create an innovative, relevant and impactful iShares experience
- Develop marketing plans designed to achieve agreed upon business objectives
- Drive marketing campaigns with a cross-functional marketing team that may include brand, advertising, direct marketing, events, web marketing, social media, PR, etc. to maximize communication impact
- Identify new ways to differentiate iShares and encourage the best thinking from internal/external marketing partners
- Work with Sales leaders to ensure marketing campaigns are contributing to a positive client experience
- Analyze campaign performance and make recommendations for future enhancements
- Manage project related budgets and track campaign spend
- Partner with the iShares National Accounts team to execute co-marketing campaigns with select brokerage firms
- Work collaboratively with Product Management, Portfolio Management, Sales, Marketing and Communications to position new and existing products, generate new sales ideas and strategic content, website and tool development, and end client educational and business support materials
- Work closely with colleagues responsible for distributing BlackRock mutual funds and separate accounts to effectively tell the active/index story to advisors
Skills Qualifications
- 5-7 years investment related experience with prior sales, marketing and/or client relationship experience with retail clients
- Ability to understand and articulate complex investment concepts in simple terms
- Understanding of the financial advisor landscape, along with advisors' relationships with their end-clients
- Strong project management, written communications and presentation skills
- Proven ability to effectively plan and execute marketing programs
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships at all levels of an organization including sales, product, strategy and marketing teams, along with occasional client interaction
- Creative thinker that has the ability to bring new ideas to the table
- Multi-tasker that can handle a multitude of different responsibilities at one time
- Ability to understand marketing data and analysis and develop campaign recommendations from these insights
- Track-record of partnering with marketing agencies to initiate and execute marketing programs
- Able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment with some level of ambiguity, drive forward key initiatives and manage workflow on simultaneous projects
- Bachelor's degree required
