Your Role:
Objectives
- Be responsible for leading Talent Management initiatives in the organisation in order to prepare the organisation for the future.
- Be responsible for establishing a learning culture through the design and management of the training curriculum for SG Staff in Singapore across Private Banking and Corporate and Investment Banking
- Ensure the development of business management, people management and professional development capabilities at different skill levels in accordance with roles and career paths for individual staff or functions
- Ensure the success of the annual objective setting and performance appraisal process and integrate the outputs from this with the training and career development needs of the staff
- Work with Head Office and local management on career development Initiatives
Talent Management
- Lead the Talent Identification and review process in Singapore
- Lead the conceptualization and implementation of development initiatives like Mentoring etc.
Learning
- Identify training needs within the Bank through job analysis, appraisal (“evaluation”) process and regular consultation with business managers and human resources business partners
- Design training programme outlines and source for suitable vendors to deliver the training
- Ensure that the curriculum, content, materials and delivery channels are aligned with business
Strategy
- Develop a training calendar for the Bank in Singapore
- Facilitate delivery of training programmes where appropriate (e.g. the PRIV /CIB Asia Induction / Orientation Program)
- Develop an effective new hire induction program
- Devise individual training plans for select group of staff
- Produce training material for in-house courses either individually or with other collaborators
- Ensure that statutory training requirements are met
- Evaluate training programmes and provide input to Managers on effectiveness of training programmes
- Amend and revise training policy, procedures and programmes as necessary to keep them relevant and in tune with the changes in the work environment
- Manage projects involving training logistics including but not limited to scheduling participants, arranging facilitators, compiling evaluations.
- Be responsible for registration of courses including completion of forms
- Be responsible for submitting and following-up on training grants (where applicable)
- Manage payment process
- Address queries from the business managers and colleagues on Training issues
- Remain up to date with developments in training and have an understanding of e-learning techniques
Performance Management
- Manage the annual appraisal process in a timely manner
- Staff Communication
- Responding to staff queries
- Assist staff on objective setting
- Facilitation of Training sessions for the staff
- Assist managers with conduct of performance appraisals
- Random checks to ensure consistency and quality of the performance appraisals
- Implementation of performance management tools within the Bank as required
- Follow-up on performance management plans for staff
- Incorporating the outputs of the performance appraisals in the design of training programmes
Career Management
- Development of Job Descriptions
- Development of Career Pathways for different profiles and functions
- Work on career development initiatives within the Bank
- Design and manage a Regional Talent Review and Succession Planning program for identified roles / positions / staff
Other Responsibilities
- Work with Regional PTD Head on ad-hoc projects related to the role
- Participate in Roll-out of SG Global Projects relate to PTD
- Prepare budgets and be the first level approver for expenses related to the role
- Campus Management in Singapore (Relationship with Universities)in line with the Graduate Programme of SG
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent educational qualification
- At least 8 years of HR experience in a Private Banking / Investment Banking environment of which a minimum of 4 years should be in a training function
- Any training certification (MBTI etc) would be an advantage
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Mandarin/Cantonese or French would be an advantage
- Regulatory knowledge of relevant jurisdictions in Asia
- Ability to work as an Individual Contributor within a team
