Associate, Portfolio Analytics (Investment Management) recruitment

Talented problems solvers with very strong quant skills and up to 6 years total work experience sought for several new openings on very challenging institutional investor focused teams. Positions will have different core focuses, but will be working cohesively together to provide transparency to both internal clientele and external investors on such things as global market movements, risk management, portfolio structure, portfolio and strategy performance, etc.
Candidates with top tier 1 schooling and proven leadership skills sought.
Individuals chosen for these openings will have the opportunity to work within 1 of 3 areas including: market, risk and research analytics for investors; portfolio performance; or within a project focused team that is in charge of building new or enhancing existing technology for the analyst team that will enable them to provide transparency to the institutional investor.
All positions require strong quantitative skills (backgrounds in math, financial or operations engineering, finance, economics, etc.), exceptional client centric demeanor, and exceptional problem solving ability.
Extensive markets, instrument, strategy, and risk management training is provided for all positions.
We are looking for those goal oriented individuals that easily see the big picture, but can also put all the pieces together and execute; those that are looking for an exceptional quantitative and analytical growth and learning opportunity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors or Masters degree from a top tier 1 university. Highly competitive GPA.
- SAT Math scores of 690 or above (OR) ACT Math score of 31 or above; GMAT Quant of 40 or above.
- Degrees from quantitative programs: mathematics, engineering, financial engineering, financial mathematics, economics, statistics, operations research, hard sciences; however, background or coursework in finance is required.
- Candidates with consulting, especially investment consulting, experience are encouraged to apply.
- 1 - 6 years "total" work experience in a quantitative and analytically rigorous position. (Sorry, we are unable to consider candidates with more full-time work experience at this time due to the level of these positions).
- Experience in investment management, (risk management, portfolio structuring or
optimization,investment/quant/research analyst); investment banking (MA, due diligence, structured finance/structured products, securitization, etc.); or consulting (investment, forensic, economic); however, may also consider candidates transitioning from other areas such as insurance, pharma, or Biotech that have some experience or masters level coursework
in finance or investing. - Quick, logical decision maker with proven ability to solve complex problems (exceptional quantitative and analytical skills required).
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (logic statements, pivot tables) required.
- Experience with SQL and VBA or other programming language preferred but not required.
- Must work extremely well under pressure and tight deadlines, and have the proven
ability to deal with ambiguity. - Client focused mentality required. Prior experience directly interfacing with clients highly preferred
- Associate level Project Management role: minimum of 1 year project or resource management experience required, basic understanding of SDLC, some experience with SSRS preferred, but not required.
