The role: Associate Product Marketing Manager, Strategy and Operations As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. The role enables you to shape the product development process, organize product launches from beginning to end and form future marketing strategy. The Rotational Associate Manager Program is an early-career experience designed to build future business leaders at Google that focuses on innovation and strategic skill development with global reach. You will join a two-year rotational program with potential assignments with the Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, Business Development, and Business Operations teams. You will use their analytical skills and knowledge of the market to develop programs that support Google's growth in a variety of areas. The first rotation will be with the Global Marketing Strategy and Operations team. This team partners closely with Google's CMO - serving as thought partners delivering on special projects. We tackle high priority strategic and operational initiatives that help Google's marketers maximize their impact across products and geographies. Responsibilities: * Play a pivotal role in supporting Global Marketing team through business analysis. Prepare presentations and clearly communicate findings from initiatives to senior management and to the broader organization. * Maintain monthly dashboard of key performance indicators to monitor the health of Google Marketing and inform decision-making for senior leadership. * Shape Marketing strategy by leading core work streams in the quarterly and annual planning process. * Work with key business partners such as Finance, HR, and Legal to design tools and processes that increase the impact of the Marketing organization. Minimum Qualifications: * BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience). Preferred Qualifications: * 2 years of analytical work experience with analytical skills and background (Excel, databases, SQL). * 1 year of experience at a top management consulting firm, investment bank, or other role requiring rigorous analytical problem solving, quantitative analysis, and communicating findings to senior management. * Demonstrated analytical success. Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy. * Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
