Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to plan and manage the delivery of IT infrastructure based systems that support clients' business objectives. The incumbent in this position will be tasked with project planning, estimating, executing, tracking and implementing defined deliverables. S/he will work closely with IT functional areas, external and/or internal customers, and vendors in defining project priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements, timing, and funding in this matrix organization. S/he will provide leadership and direction to the project team spanning across multiple IT organizational silos, cultures and business lines. Supervision and assistance will be available to assist incumbent success.

This position resides in and reports to our Pittsburgh campus; projects will include resources from around the globe.

Qualifications

Essential Duties Responsibilities:

Minimum 2 years project coordination or project management experience required

Ensure stakeholder expectations are understood, manage stakeholder communications and participation

Primary point of contact to handle project issues as well as manage changes to project scope

Monitoring, evaluating, and controlling project performance, resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion

Planning and scheduling project tasks based, in part, on resource availability and other dependencies; ability to oversee or modify a schedule of tasks with minimal supervision

Adhering to a defined project management methodology, ensure the work of the project, including requirements and deliverables, are clearly defined

Knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies and how they integrate.

Strong ability to identify risks and issues and present options for mitigation based, in part, on what best services the customer

Suggesting areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions; fostering supporting constructive change

Maintaining up-to-date awareness of industry technology trends, activities and advancements through self-study and professional training

Experience in collaborating with and leading cross-functional teams

Conducting routine project status calls and reporting of project status

Job holder must have a strong customer focus, verbal/written communications skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills. S/he must have strong knowledge of MS-Office, scheduling time tracking tools. S/he must be able to successfully manage work with guidance and supervision. Job holder must be a true "team player" that enjoys challenges and is highly motivated, self-directed and results oriented. Possess an introductory understanding of application programming, database, system design, internet, extranet, intranet client / server architectures. S/he must be able to comply with all company procedures, regulations and compliance activities. B.S or B.A degree or equivalent combination of IT education experience required; PMI CAPM, PMP and/or ITIL certification a plus but not required; Limited travel with the possibility of international travel; Some weekend work required.
