PHION CAPITAL – JOB OPPORTUNITY
Background
Phion Capital is a new financial services firm based in London focused on the infrastructure, transportation and renewables industries. Phion was founded last year by the former global head of infrastructure at a bulge bracket investment bank.
Phion assists companies in identifying opportunities to transform their businesses to unlock substantial value. Typically Phion becomes involved at an early stage and participates in the upfront strategic planning and decision making. Phion focuses on the following transformational corporate events:
• Strategic: assistance with development of long-term strategy and corporate finance steps required to implement such strategies;
• Financial: development of effective financial budgeting tools, turnaround of underperforming finance functions;
• Transactional: MA, IPO, debt and equity capital raisings, debt restructurings; and
• Organisational: Business reorganisations, senior management team transitions/training.
If necessary, Phion employees may be seconded to a company on a part-time or full-time basis. Phion’s first assignment was to assist a rapidly growing multi-billion global infrastructure company in undertaking a complex series of corporate events.
Current Opportunity
The Phion team is looking to hire one new employee to become involved in Phion’s general business activities, starting work in the near term.
Candidates should ideally have the following experience:
• 2-6 years work experience in finance (private equity, investment banking or corporate finance)
• Infrastructure and/or transportation industry knowledge / background
• Played active role in MA and/or financing transactions, including carrying out extensive due diligence
• Proficient in all areas of financial analysis and modelling, including use of Excel, Word, Powerpoint
• “Can-do” attitude with strong interpersonal skills
• Strong academic background
Compensation is structured to be extremely competitive and will be determined as appropriate on a case by case basis.
