The role and key responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support the senior team with the following:
* Helping with the origination and screening of quality deal flow;
* Conducting thorough analysis and research into individual business opportunities, within the consumer/luxury goods/life style sectors. This will require data gathering and market research, Excel analysis and advanced financial modelling skills;
* Preparing informed recommendations for the investment committee;
* Contributing to due diligence processes and some execution support; and
* Post investment monitoring and management. Preparing reports for regular review
Person specification:
To be effective in the role candidates should have the following background and experience:
* Strong academic background;
* A minimum of two to three years of investment banking experience. Some private equity experience is a plus;
* Strong analytical skills;
* Impeccable Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
* Able to work independently, as well as within a small team. At ease in an entrepreneurial environment;
* Good interpersonal skills; and
* Able to communicate fluently in English. Fluency in French and/or Dutch is a plus.
