The Associate Sales Rep is responsible for attainment of current customer sales and market share objectives, execution of national, regional, local strategies, promotional activities and programs for assigned products and therapeutic areas as well as effective territory management, customer relationships, while operating within assigned territory budget, under adherence to assigned administrative duties and JJ policies as set forth in the JJ policy manual.

The Associate Sales rep will maintain and develop existing customer base to ensure the annual sales target is achieved and or exceeded in collaboration with Spinal Implant territory Manager. In coordination with the Spinal Implant Territory manager, construct and execute effective Key Account Business Plans in service of the Customer Acquisition Roadmap and Strategic Account Management process as well as attention to the sales and education of DS focus product goals. Inclusive of critical business imperatives, strategies, tactics and resources needed.To visit and interact with each customer as needed on a weekly basis. (minimum)To provide Operating Room technical support in DePuy Spine spinal implant customer accounts.Participate in physician education programs (product evaluations cadaver labs). Manage product inventory (RONA) based on business and customer needs. To present daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly business plan and results to appropriate sales manager. To ensure all work and communications are done in compliance with JJ policy, Advamed and Healthcare Compliance guidelines and policies

This candidate will participate in on-going learning/training to become a "certified" expert on DePuy Spine products and procedures. To provide accurate information and product training on all DePuy Spine implants and instruments, LifeNet Health Allograft, VBA, ScoliScore and other products and their indications (i.e. surgical techniques), for use to appropriate physicians including but not limited to Spine Surgeons and their clinical support staff in service of Our Credo. Ensure the appropriate instrument sets and all other relevant products are in the right place at the right time in service of the hospital and surgeon needs and consistent with company policy to facilitate surgery. To collaborate with Special Request Team to ensure surgeon specific line extensions, instrument needs and custom implant requests are handled promptly and effectively. Ensure the Medical Education calendar of events is clearly articulated to surgeon and surgical support team members in an appropriate manner.

Qualifications

A minimum of a BA degree is required. A minimum 1 year of successful sales experience is required. Previous sales experience in the Spinal/Neuro/Orthopaedic surgery markets would be a plus. Hospital/Operating Room based selling experience desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills - empathy, questioning, listening, presenting, teaching. Strategic thinking problem solving skills (especially an ability to think outside the box and be creative) are required. . Overall business acumen (market understanding, business planning, ability to build value based customer relationships, results focused). Ability to operate in a "technical" and very professional sales environment is preferred. Computer literacy, a minimum of MS office proficient. A valid driving license in all 50 states is required. The ability to travel is required. Candidate must live in the posted territory.
