In the Asia Pacific region, J.P. Morgan Asset Management has seven offices, including a joint venture in China, all delivering a wide range of investment products and services to retail and institutional clients.
The Strategy and Planning Team acts as a representative for Asia region in the Global Investment Management business and the scope of work for the team varies from preparing presentation materials for the senior management to analyses of new business initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects independently, translate global requirements and customize it to suit Asia Pacific needs and execute new initiatives to improve business efficiency/productivity/profitability
- Act as a key bridge between the team and Mandarin speaking locations (Taiwan and Mainland China)
- Work collaboratively and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in Asia
- Prepare complex management reports and strategic analysis on a periodic and ad-hoc basis, support the manager to provide recommendations to senior management
- Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate business performance, identify key issues and gaps, provide strategic insights across the business
- Gather and consolidating information from multiple parties and prepare senior management presentations
- Documents translation (Chinese to English and vice versa)
Skills
- A university graduate with around 5 years working experiences, solid work experiences in Asset Management industry
- Auditing background will be a definite plus
- Possess excellent business acumen, able to conduct in-depth research and analysis and provide insights at a holistic level
- Excellent in Mandarin English, fluency in Cantonese preferred; must be able to read and write Chinese
- Detail oriented with strong numerical sense
- Strong presentation skills and software knowledge of MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in a high pressure environment
- A team player with good interpersonal skills
