Associates / VPs - Alternative Investments - Pension Fund Manager USD 100 BN - Hong Kong, Asia
Our client is an international pension fund manager looking to grow their active mandates in Asia Pacific. We are currently assisting them across their whole business groups in Hong Kong.
Our ideal candidates would have had prior experience in any of these key businesses:
1. Equity / Fixed Income Fund Management - research or portfolio management capacity
2. Private Equity
The experience will be rewarding for professionals who are looking for a tier 1, institutional training care of one of the most reputable pension fund managers in the world. My ideal candidates would have been the top performers for any of these respective team (proof in their CV or reference letter attached).
There are two level of hires possible for each of these division. One for an Associate level who will be more in - charge of number crunching / trade idea generation or deal evaluations and due diligence. VPs will be a bit more hands on on the client facing, in charged of dealing with clients and executing trade ideas.
The requirements for the role are the following:
- 2-4 (Associate) or 5-7 (VP) years experience in Asia and Investments - i.e. research, banking and investments with coverages covering either specific markets in Asia preferrably as a start.
Equity / Fixed Income Fund Management:
Equities focus - is Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia - Consumer, Healthcare, FIG, Industrials
Fixed Income - High Yield Investment Grade, Convertible Bonds - Generalist.
Private Equity
Sector specific or generalists
- Preference for people with outstanding education as a testament of their ability to handle challenging, analytical demands of the job
- Previous experience in financial modelling, due diligence and general investing (whether self investments or job related)
- Role will be based oin Hong Kong
- Due to the Asian and local client base of the fund, a candidate with at least one spoken Asian language will be a plus.
