Business Area Overview:
BNP Paribas' Fixed Income franchise offers a broad range of products and services across primary (Debt Issuance) and secondary (Credit, Rates, FX) markets products. Fixed Income helps their global franchise of clients find effective ways to raise and invest capital as well as manage their exposure to risk. Fixed Income's Issuer client base includes corporations, banks, governments, agencies, supranational institutions, etc. and the Investor client base includes asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, pension funds, central banks and official institutions, etc.

Fixed Income has the scale and reach to conduct business anywhere in the world and deliver products denominated in almost all currencies. Their global network comprises more than 1,700 professionals working on six main trading floors in London, Hong Kong, New York, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo. They are supported by regional offices throughout Europe, the Americas, Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

Position Overview:
Fixed Income has undertaken a global initiative aimed at better aligning its business with the changing global banking environment, through a significant improvement of working practices and advancement of operating modes with the overall goal to increase the productivity of all front office teams. To support this expansive initiative Fixed Income has created an Advisory and Strategic Transformation ("FAST")Team to partner with Management and facilitate the on-going strategic thinking and behavioural evolution necessary to achieve a dynamic and sustainable change.

The FAST Team is looking for individuals who bring a unique blend of passion, dedication and energy to the program. A successful team member will demonstrate:

o The overall role of the team is to engage management in evaluating the strategies surrounding how we work, identify areas for improvement, and make them more streamlined and efficient. Thinking out of the box to initiate inventive, clear-cut and sustainable change is a must

Responsibilities:
• Participate in staff interviews, prepare and document staff surveys, observe the allocation of time to value added tasks by each team, analyze existing management tools, review trade capture processes, review error logs and incidents
• Prepare a qualitative and quantitative analysis of data in order to identify key strengths and areas of improvement for each business area within Fixed Income
• Join in working groups designed around critical elements of optimization identified during the staff interview phase
• Contribute to the integration of long-term work plans to ensure change sustainability across Fixed Income product lines

• Bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years of finance related experience preferred, work experience in consulting is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills, e.g. capacity to analyze issues in a logical and structured way, prioritize and focus on issues depending on potential impact, synthesize findings and communicate them in an effective manner
• Strong interpersonal skills, e.g. ability to communicate effectively and adapt communications as needed
• Strong capacity to interact with front office staff, managers and business committee members
• A motivated, self-starter with an ability to highlight issues and identify solutions
• Advanced level of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
