Department
The Marketing and Strategy team includes corporate marketing, cross-products marketing, market strategy and business analytics functions across our New York, London and HK offices. The Marketing and Strategy team coordinates activities across several distinct business units, working closely with the Product Management, responsible for product development, operations and product marketing, Customer Service team, responsible for managing the customer experience, and the Sales team globally.

The Role
The market strategist is responsible for analyzing and monitoring key demand and competitive trends that affect MA's various customer segments. The market strategist's findings and recommendations are primarily used by senior management to prioritize and deploy sales and marketing resources, to educate and train the sales force and to inform marketing messages and positioning.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute primary and secondary research on market trends and competitive environment in various geographical markets and/or industry verticals in which MA competes
- Analyze and keep abreast of key regulatory developments affecting MA's customers and MA offerings to identify potential opportunities and threats
- Develop detailed business cases for new initiatives that includes global demand forecasts, competitive analysis, investment analysis and financial projections
- Provide quick market assessments of various corporate development opportunities to senior management

Experience
- 7 - 9 years of experience in a strategy or market research role in financial services industry
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA a strong plus.
- Management consulting experience a strong plus.

- Superior ability to design and execute market research
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry

- Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary project working groups
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional problem solving capability
