Well respected client of ours is seeking a part-time contract attorney for a 2-3 month period. There is a contract administrator that sits onsite in Philly office but is not a lawyer and issues are arising that require a lawyer's expertise. This new contractor would be the main contact for these types of issues. The hiring manager sits in Stamford and would manage/support from there. This position is for some additional legal support required during Q4 (through early Jan). They will be working about 20 hours starting off but this may increase due to need. The candidate will need to be flexible on the hours each day as while they will be supporting Asia as well as the US IP Science BU. The manager is seeking a candidate with the below experience but specifically training as a Junior Associate at a big firm but then would have moved in-house.

Description: Review, draft and negotiate complex licensing agreements, customized software implementations, consulting/services agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other agreements related to sales of the companys products and/or services. Interface with appropriate company personnel to understand the business and financial issues involved in the negotiation of contracts. Provide guidance and advice to sales and senior management on contract issues. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to interact with team members, sales management, cross functional groups, in-house and outside counsel, and customers. Familiar with standard concepts and issues faced by a licensor of intellectual property rights or a provider of technology products/services to customers. Ability to handle multiple deals simultaneously in a dynamic environment and to work under pressure and tight deadlines. Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and change direction or priorities on short notice. Strong management skills, detail oriented, highly organized and analytical. Must be a graduate of an accredited law school with 4-5 years of experience.
