A top-tier investment bank with a significant global presence is currently seeking an experienced internal auditor to join their Compliance Audit function. As regulatory change continues to impact the market and prudential controls drive greater scrutiny, this investment bank has significantly increased the size of its audit function. The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal controls relating to compliance and legal risks in accordance with the established risk assessment framework. You will objectively draft issues for review by senior management, helping to facilitate the identification of issues and risk mitigation. Through independent assurance you will help achieve the organisation's goals and strategies across the whole business.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA or equivalent) gained within The Big Four
· Previous experience within Banking or Asset/Wealth Management in a compliance/audit role
· A solid understanding of regulation within the banking sector
· Ability to liaise and maintain relationships effectively at all levels of the organisation
· Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
· A pro-active and flexible individual with excellent organisational skills
· Ability to multi-task and take ownership of tasks
· Fluency in English is a requirement
· You must be eligible to work in the UK
