Audit Manager Columbia,SC                        

Candidate must have active CPA certification and at least 5 years of recent public accounting management experience.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, along with the ability to develop and maintain solid client relationships is required.
Government and commercial audit experience a plus.
About 25%-30% travel will be required.

Specifications and requirements
Ability to develop and maintain solid client relationships.
Effectively supervise numerous staff, multiple engagements and firm administrative assignments.

 
Responsible for achieving engagement objectives, management of client relationship and staff supervision.

Submit completed engagements to senior manager or partner on a timely basis and in accordance with all applicable technical, professional and Firm standards. 

Attest engagements must be well documented and provide effective presentation of financial statements including issues researched; identify and resolve client issues, and if applicable, preparation of a well written management recommendation letter (AA). 

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), auditing standards (AU, GAAS, SAS) and techniques to supervise staff and resolve complex engagement issues (AA).

Knowledgeable of and complies with all peer review requirements. Assist in firm peer reviews (AA).

Determine methods and consider alternatives to increase realization on engagements from year to year.

 

 
Monitors and controls engagement process in terms of budgeted time and scheduled completion date.  Communicates to keep partners and client informed.
