Audit Accounts Semi-Senior/Senior - Nottingham
The firm is recruiting for an Audit Semi Senior or Senior to join the Nottingham office.
The Partners and Staff based at this Nottinghamshire practice provide a range of accounting, audit, taxation and management accountancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients. As well as SMEs (Small to Medium-sized Enterprises), they also look after the business concerns of very small entities such as sole-traders and partnerships as well as the affairs of some large businesses with much more complex, technical requirements.
Purpose of Role:
To deliver an external audit service to our clients in the Academies sector in a timely and efficient manner.
To assist managers in the planning and completion of audit work and to lead audit fieldwork on a variety of clients.
Skills required:
This role may be ideal for an ambitious individual with a smaller firm wanting to move to a Top 20 or for someone currently in an environment where there is limited opportunity for progression – the right person can expect early responsibility and will progress through the ranks and play a real role in the future of our practice.
Candidates are likely to be Part Qualified or Qualified ACA or ACCA.
The successful applicant will be an experienced Practice professional with some exposure to the Academy sector.
A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications is a must and knowledge of Sage, Viztopia and the ProAudit and Mercia packages will be beneficial.
Exposure to the software used by Academies (e.g. FMS, PSF, Corero) would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
Remuneration:
Salary commensurate with level and experience
Normal hours of work are 37.5 per week, to be worked from 9.00am to 5.30pm
28 days holiday including statutory bank/public holidays rising with length of service and/or promotion. The firm also operates a discretionary Christmas shutdown that is not counted as part of staff holiday entitlement
