URS Corporation will be hiring qualified Auto Painters in support of Army Depot Augmentation - Tobyhanna, PA. Contingent on contract award.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of recent full time verifiable painting experience in a transportation or industrial environment. Needs journeyman skill level of spray painting techniques and equipment. Automotive or aircraft production line painting, or construction spray painting would be a suitable background.

Must have normal color vision. Must be able to lift 40-45 pounds. Automotive and/or Industrial Painting experience is a requirement for this position.

Drug test, background check, and PFT and Respirator Fit test is required.

Must be available for any shift. Willing to work weekends and other hours as needed.

Candiates must have a valid Driver's License.

Job Description:
CARC painting will be performed on system components or on larger assets such as shelters, trailers, antennas, HMMV'S and various communication equipment in support of all major end items overhauled at the Depot. Paints one type or a variety of surfaces, such as interior and exterior of mobile and stationary equipment, fittings, furnishings, machinery, and other surfaces, where appearance as well as surface protection is important. Prepares surfaces, mixes paints, applies prime, intermediate and finish coats primarily with spray gun. Uses gloss, semi-gloss, and special paints, enamels, varnishes, stains, lacquers, and shellacs. Assures the protection of surrounding areas and, if required by specific work assignments, assures proper adjustment of ladders and scaffolding. Assures proper maintenance of equipment. Applies tar-like undercoating to the undercarriages of numerous types of equipment. Work requires continuous movement of hands and arms, reaching, bending, and lifting materials up to 10 pounds. The painter may be required to coat surfaces in cramped and hard to reach places. Required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Occasionally, may handle materials and equipment that weigh 40 pounds or more. Work is normally performed inside well-lighted, heated and ventilated shop areas. Some outside work is required. Subject to noise, dust, and fumes. Frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts and bruises. Painter may be required to wear safety devices and clothing such as aprons, respirator, gloves, and safety glasses.
