Aviation Support Equipment Tech

This position is located in Taji, Iraq.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Seeking candidate to support the Bell Iraq AH407 Helicopter Program at Taji, Iraq. Relocation is required.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Applicant will be responsible for day to day operations of Support Equipment Program on site.

Managing the status of organizational, intermediate, and depot level repair of aircraft support equipment.  Keep site managers and military customer informed of all possible impacts to maintenance schedule related to support equipment.

Tracking support equipment configuration, location, and quantities within various program operation sites.  Assign support equipment tracking number and maintain database.

Utilizing and coordinate organic customer repair capabilities to the maximum extent possible.  Manage transportation of support equipment between sites.

Managing coordinating, and documenting calibration of all support equipment as applicable.

Providing informal training to customer personnel on the proper inspection, maintenance, and safe operation of aircraft.

Position Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. 2 yrs extensive hands-on military and/or commercial experience and knowledge of helicopter support equipment.  Able to read and interpret maintenance manuals for Support equipment and hands on preventative and repair maintenance required. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Microsoft Outlook.

Preferred:

5yrs hands-on experience running a support equipment program at a flight facility.

Experience in following systems:

Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List (AMMRL)

Support Equipment Resources Management Information System (SERMIS)

Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL)
