No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description This job is in Avionics on the 787 program in the Maintenance Systems group. The position would be for a system engineer working the Aircraft Condition Monitoring Function. This is a complex system to provides maintenance data for our customer airlines. Tasks would include investigation of in-service issues, developmental activities looking for improvements to the system, and lab, factory, and flight support for the installed system. The candidate will work with and lead customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Lead, coordinate, and analyzes requirements into airplane avionics systems, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Perform test and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solve problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs and provides input for technology investments. Do you meet the criteria described in the Typical Education / Experience section of this requisition? Typical Education/Experience Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years experience, Master's with 7 or more years experience or PhD with 4 or more years experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
