Due to growth, our client which is a leading investment management house, is seeking for an experienced Corporate Treasury Manager to transit into the buy side. Based in Singapore, this is a multi-facet role that requires a highly flexible and proactive individual who can take on more than 1 aspect of treasury responsibility.
The role covers a variety of Treasury, but on a day to day, you will be part of the team that handles:
Foreign Exchange
- Monitor global FX markets and review company's foreign exchange risk profile
- Interface with Investment teams to provide treasury assumptions for project appraisals and hedging strategies
- Provide monthly FX outlook and prepare quarterly FX review with Senior Management team
- Work with Accounting team to implement FRS39 for accounting of treasury derivatives
- Manage FX relationships with major Asian and International Banks
Asset Management / Cash Investments
- Work with Asset Management companies to monitor and invest in Money Market / Short Term Fixed Income funds
Secondary Responsibilities:
Cash Operations
- Manage daily cash flow, funding, FX requirements and money market placements for the Group
Cash Management Process/System
- Evaluate cash management processes to improve efficiency and controls with potential implementation of web-based cash management electronic banking platform
- Establish efficient bank account structure and work with Accounting team to streamline bank account administration process
The right candidate will possess at least 5-8 years of experience in treasury, ideally starting from a Financial Institution and having moved into a Corporate/Buy Side. You will possess
- Previous Fund Management / Bank FX front office experience
- Direct Treasury experience (FX/Cash Management) from large corporate set up is a MUST
- Debt Capital Markets / Project Financing experience a plus
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or Banking with more than 5 years of post graduate experience
- Proactive, analytical, meticulous and detailed oriented, ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Competent with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, business communications and presentation skill
- Good team player with ability to work independently
This is a local contract and due to the urgency of the role, preference will be given to candidates already based in Singapore.
