Work closely with key business stakeholders to assess their governance, business risks and review the effectiveness of their control mechanisms, ultimately providing assurance to the group.
Candidates with experience in IT Audit from Investment banking / Big 4 / ACCA / CISA for IT will be suitable.
Audit Delivery Stakeholder Management
- Support the Audit Lead in scoping the audit where necessary
- Identify, assess document risks and controls
- Complete testing
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls document this understanding in the IA audit toolkit
- Write high quality audit observations and support the Audit Lead in writing the report.
- Provide suggestions to management for actions to address control issues identified.
- Discuss and agree the factual accuracy of audit observations with stakeholders/Audit Lead as appropriate
- Update the Audit Lead and audit team with progress and observations.
- Proactively take on additional tasks as requested by senior stakeholders.
- Improve technical knowledge through self-learning or training including mandatory CPE requirements.
Knowledge sharing with IA colleagues and peers in the business.
Person Specification
Essential
- For business audit roles - experience in risk based auditing or risk/control activities OR;
For CoE roles - technical knowledge in the relevant specialist field (e.g IT applications, market modelling)
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g ACCA, CISA for IT roles or postgraduate qualification in quantitative discipline for credit/market risk)
- Practical understanding of relevant regulatory environment
- Proven track record of high performance in previous roles
Preferred
- Practical financial services industry knowledge
- IT Audit experience
- Investment bank experience
