AVP Analyst

Our client, a top tier investment bank, is seeking to recruit an AVP Analyst into their Treasury Finance department. The successful candidate will be working within the Capital Financial Reporting and Control Team (part of Treasury Finance); the purpose of this role is to support financial reporting activities with some project involvement. The team provides finance support to Capital Management, and is responsible for all Treasury financial reporting.

The main responsibilities for the role will be Monthly cross-Treasury reporting including analysis of monthly results, variance analysis, commentary, preparation of monthly pack and presentation to management, balance sheet review, subsidiary accounting including preparation of statutory accounts.

Other Key responsibilities:

• Monthly reporting of the results of cross-Treasury results. To include preparation of results, variance analysis vs prior periods and forecasts, preparation of detailed analysis packs and presentation to management.
• Treasury balance sheet review and analysis
• Monthly reporting for Treasury subsidiaries and preparation of 2012 statutory accounts
• Other ad hoc and project work as required

Experience and qualifications - Essential

• Professionally qualified accountant
• Ability to learn quickly
• Highly organised, strong attention to detail
• Strong Excel and use of a Financial Accounting System
• Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate confidently to senior management
• Strong team work ethic

Experience and qualifications - Preferred

• Knowledge of SAP or Hyperion
