AVP, Balance Sheet Controls & Analytics recruitment
The successful candidate will become the group’s ‘go to’ expert in relation to reporting and ledger functions, managing the reporting function in support of the firm’s Credit portfolio. He/she will also take ownership of and prepare monthly balance sheet analytics for the controls and Treasury teams as well as senior management review. Experience in balance sheet analytics, reconciliations to the general ledger and sub-ledgers, UAT, and interest in challenging and improving existing reporting controls are all key requirements for this critical role in the team.
The successful candidate will have at least 2- 3 years’ experience in financial control / product control within banking. Experience must include a demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles as well as a understanding of derivatives. Advanced skills in MS Excel, including using formulas to extract and analyze large volumes of data, is a key requirement. Knowledge of Access is preferred. This is a highly analytical role that will expose the candidate to the trading business, technology, senior management, line controllers and others in Finance. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, confident and numerate with the ability to interface with senior management cross-functionally and firm-wide. Broad exposure to accounting principles and an understanding of accounting for derivatives is also required.
