AVP – Business sourcing & Supplier Management business support recruitment
Main Function
- To assist the business units (BU’s) to implement and embed the requirements of the Sourcing and Supplier Management Policy and any other relevant controls or polices that have implication on 3rd Party supplier relationships.
- Enable BU’s to effectively manage their supply base with the support of a framework and a set of tools/templates/processes
- To lead training for the Sourcing and Supplier Management Policy (SSMP) in the BAU environment
- To ensure updates to the policy and any supporting material such as processes, tools, guidance are communicated to the Business and training is delivered to relevant parts of the business as required
- To support the compliance monitoring programme for the policy and work with the business close any gaps identified
- Main Duties
Conformance Testing (40%)
- Implement the conformance monitoring programme into the business to review the quality of outputs to identify if requirements have been met. Provide coaching to improve the quality where required.
- Use the conformance data available to identify gaps and work with the teams to identify and remediate issues
- Where training has been provided, monitor the area in question to ensure the training has been effective and provide further support as necessary
- Escalate issues where there is on-going non-conformance
Training (20%)
- Develop the policy training strategy/plan and deliver against it
- Develop and maintain training materials and courses for the policy (including e-Learning), tailoring material to specific geographies where required
- Identify, monitor and control the need for training within the Business Units
- Deliver policy training to the Business Units and new starters as required
- Deliver Regular refresher courses
- Maintain the accuracy and quality of the training material on-going as the policy and minimum standards are revised.
- Work closely with the business units to understand their capability to deliver against the policy and proactively provide support and training where needed
- Maintain knowledge of other Group policies, legislation and governance processes and work closely with the relevant SME groups to ensure training is in line with their expectations and there is a joined up consistent approach
Toolkit and BU support (20%)
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for the Sourcing Supplier Management Policy and process in order to advise the business on their queries
- Assist in the development of processes/tools/guidance material. Ensure updates are effectively communicated to the Business in a timely matter.
- Maintain the processes, tools, templates and ‘how to’ guides that support the SSMP and ensure the intranet that houses these is kept up-to-date.
Ad-hoc Projects (20%)
Person Requirements
Knowledge/Expertise
Essential
• Understanding of control frameworks and operational risk requirements
• Risk and control techniques e.g. risk assessment, risk mitigation, risk management, risk event management
Preferred
• Knowledge of the Bank’s products, services and policies
• Some knowledge of operational risk principles
• Some knowledge of governance, risk, control and assurance drivers / requirements across at least one risk types
Experience
• Experience in a financial services business
• Previous ‘risk’ experience is preferable
