AVP Credit Product Contoller recruitment

Our client, a leading a global banking and financial services company, currently seeks a Structured Credit Product Controller with some change or projects experience, to be based in London

The Structured Credit Product Controller - AVP will be part of the Global Credit Trading, and will be responsible for:
-Assisting with the migration of the daily PL onto a new platform. This will involve working as part of a project team to ensure the structured credit business has smooth transition from their current PL platform onto strategic systems.
-Your role will focus on the reporting requirements around structured credit, but will also cover European Mortgage Origination, Asset Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP) conduits and Convertibles Business.
-Various daily and month end tasks which need to be satisfied and these include reviewing reserving calculations and ensuring that these comply with global policies, Independent Price Verification results review, PL completion, balance sheet reviews and monthly International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) disclosure submissions.
-Working closely with the Front Office, Financial Control, Global Valuations Group, Finance and Market Risk Management.

As such, the successful Structured Credit Product Controller- AVP will have the following skills and experience:

-Strong in derivatives and securities or has an understanding of the background around them especially looking at pricing and complex structures
-Control experience along with some team management experience
-Proven work experience in auditing/investment banking or equivalent.
-Good working knowledge of the front to back system architecture within an investment bank.
-A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA or equivalent preferred).
-Degree educated or equivalent.
-A good team player - ability to work constructively with the teams across the group and other internal desks/areas.
