AVP : FTB Data Sourcing, Business Analyst, CFO Change recruitment
ROLE SUMMARY:
Front To Back (FTB) Data Sourcing team focused on the Cash Securities products has the aim of defining and delivering a startegic FTB business solution utilising the core infrastructural components within the strategic finance architecture.
The initial focus is to define and deliver a solution for CSSEL and once this solution has been implemented there will be a further roll out to the remaining relevant FSI entities, for APAC this means Singapore Branch, Hong Kong Ltd and Japan Ltd.
The initiative will involve sourcing of the appropriate data from upstream Settlement and Risk Management Platforms that will be required to satisfy the global Cash Securities rules.
In addition to the sourcing work there will be changes required in the Finance Gateway (validations), Opera DAL (Detailed Accounting Ledger) and the ARE (Accounting Rules Engine) supported by a full data and ledger conversion and FTB testing to ensure that all downstream reporting applications can accommodate the processing changes.
The job is an AVP position as a Business analysts on the FTB team that will require strong analytical and communication skills and will involve process design, gathering business requirements and the ability to articulate the solution to the key stakeholders and clients.
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
- Undertake Business Analyst responsibilities on FX FTB Data Sourcing project for Singapore Branch during the fourth quarter of 2012 with extension of these BA responsibilities into other FTB projects during 2013.
- Work closely with Product Control (PC) / PC Change, FA / FA Change to understand and document data and business requirements and the associated reporting impacts
- Perform business analysis on PC and FA reporting solution to identify and address functionality gaps
- Collaborate with both PC / FA IT teams to interpret business requirements and construct system / process solutions
- Development of the test approach, test scenarios and test cases and play a key role in the testing execution as one of the main CFOC test resources.
- Perform functional testing and analyse defects in collaboration with IT teams Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for PC / PC Change, FA/FA Change and analyse defects in collaboration with IT teams
- Participate in working group meetings with PC / PC Change, FA /FA Change and IT teams and other project teams as appropriate
- Build and maintain good relationships with key PC and FA resources at a working level
- Provide progress updates to the CFOC project manager and raise risks, issues and dependencies promptly

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS:
- Work experience of 5+ years in either or a combination of the following: Financial Services industry, Consulting Services industry or Audit Advisory services industry
- xperience of or exposure to working in or managing finance change projects involving systems and process change
- Qualified Accountant or undergraduate degree in Accountancy, Business or Commerce would be preferential
- Strong analytical skills and ability to define and apply logical approach to issue resolution
- Strong communication (written, verbal, presentational) skills
- Good team player
- Prior experience in a line Product Control Change would be advantageous
