Our Fixed Income Research team advises the Bank's clients and traders, helping them to stay one step ahead of the market. Their impartial intelligence is key to shaping sales and trading strategies for clients and for our business.

Being a senior member of the Fixed Income Research team, your role will include:

Being in a lean team, this role brings a good degree of autonomy and we expect the incumbant to be a self starter and is a mature team player who is also able to function independently.

Requirements

  • At least 7-9 years' work experience in buy-side/sell-side credit research, debt capital markets or rating agencies covering corporates;
  • A solid accounting background with strong MS Excel financial modeling and analytical skills;
  • A natural orientation to the credit markets will be highly preferred;
  • Excellent communication skills (including writing skills) as incumbent is expected to articulate his/her sound judgment and the ability to formulate convincing investment theses;
  • Incumbent MUST be well-versed in English and Mandarin because of the need to also cover North Asian names and might come across Mandarin documents (both reading and writing).
  • Be a self-starter, able to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively with colleagues in a team environment as needed;
  • A CFA or currently undertaking the CFA programme is a plus but not a requirement
