Balance Sheet and Revenue Control Lead, City of London, Banking, £500-700 per day

My global banking client is currently recruiting for a Balance Sheet and Revenue Control Lead for their City-based team.

You will lead the London team in their performance of front-to-back controls covering PnL and balance sheet ownership, and you will have prime responsibility to ensure adherence to the key procedural controls across the region.  A main focus of the role will be to build on the existing control environment in a standardised manner to generate further efficiencies.

Objectives

- Act as trusted independent partner to the Financial Accounting and Controlling leads.
- Manage the relationship with outsourced service providers, ensuring services are delivered in line with SLA’s and issues escalated and resolved in a timely manner
- Develop a strong team of controllers capable of adapting to an ever-changing business environment, controlling it to consistently high standards
- Drive change across the team
- Be responsible for the team’s performance against KPIs
- Provide a vision for the team’s future direction and ensure they remain motivated to deliver

Requirements

- Able to manage conflicting priorities and objectives
- Experience dealing with offshore vendors through SLA-driven governance frameworks
- A flexible and adaptable approach
- Product control background within Investment Banking
- Experience managing large teams
- Strong leadership in a period of change and transformation
- Senior stakeholder management
