Sr. Database Manager
The Database Manager will be in charge of the integrity and performance of data (trades, market data, static data, etc.). Main tasks include overseeing the design of data structures (making sure bank can support data versioning and historization), optimizing data for performance and security and guaranteeing security and segregation of data. You will work effectively and efficiently to agreed timelines and actively seek out and implement opportunities to reduce the Business costs.
Qualifications:
- Perfect knowledge of modern database and data storage technologies relational DBs, non-SQL DBs (document stores, key-value stores, graph DBs), MS SQL Server, stored procedures, data optimization, data structure design
- Experience on Windows and Unix systems, with hands on experience in shell scripting
- Data security: fine grained access to data structures, data segregation
- Middleware technology (WebSphere MQ, Solace): publish subscribe model, point to point, etc.
- Familiarity with data structures used in a trading environment: trade data, market data, static data
- Data versioning: design for keeping historical data
