Balance Sheet Revenue Controller, Credit, BSRC

An opportunity has arisen within the Credit Balance Sheet Revenue Control to be part of a team whose main function is to perform the appropriate controls across the balance sheet and PL processes daily for the Credit business (both core and non core). The Credit desk has responsibilities for managing a full range of credit linked products.

The successful candidate will obtain exposure to a range of products from vanilla credit default swaps, bonds, asset swaps and credit linked notes, through to asset repack transactions via SPVs.

The role on offer will involve the supervision of all Balance sheet and revenue controls across the relevant business functions. The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Supervise the daily PL production and control environment.
• Control and review of trading data in-flow to the PL production tool and discussion of this data with the trading desk.
• Management of external vendor relationship.
• Commentary on daily and monthly PL.
• Supervision over monthly balance sheet controls.
• Balance sheet review and reserve analysis.
• Liaison with trading desk, Valuations, front-office support, Operations and Global Reporting, to discuss and resolve ad hoc issues concerning bookings, valuations, new business, strategy and other areas.

This is a challenging role with exposure to varied credit products and the trading desk. The individual should be a key team player, with good communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Basic knowledge of Credit products and experience of Balance Sheet Revenue Control.
Product Control experience
Degree (2:1 or 1st Economics/Maths/Science Subjects) / Full qualification of professional accountancy exams or equivalent.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Visual Basic.
