Balance Sheet Manager
A managerial opportunity has arisen within the Wholesale Division of a London based financial institution. You will engage, support and influence the business leadership team in their management of the balance sheet. This role covers a wide variety of activities including monitoring actual performance and assessing future projections.
Insight into the balance sheet is a critical activity within Finance, and this role will give the successful candidate a great opportunity to inform and shape the business response to current high profile issues such as funding, deleveraging and Relationship banking.
Key accountabilities
* Develop the Management Information repository for Wholesale Balance Sheet reporting.
* Develop analysis and lead the provision of insight into balance sheet movements, contributing to development of business strategy, forecasting and planning
* Provide subject matter expertise on balance sheet within key finance activities (such as month end reporting and sign off, budgeting, planning, forecasting, latest view, strategy development, control and governance)
* Provide the internal oversight and promote understanding of the RWA and capital reporting ,working closely with our Regulatory Reporting teams
* Deputise for the Senior Manager and Finance Director, as appropriate, at meetings covering impairment and balance sheet topics (e.g. monthly governance, planning)
* To respond to any ad-hoc requirements to meet any other deliverables regarding the balance sheet and capital management
* Lead and manage one team member
