Position Description:
We are currently looking for a strong Manager for the Morgan Stanley Private Bank, NA ('MSPBNA"). MSPBNA is a National Bank regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The optimal candidate should be highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong regulatory reporting and accounting background. The Manager will be exposed to various products including deposits, investments, retail lending, personal trust and prime brokerage businesses. This individual will work with various groups within the Bank's and Morgan Stanley's Finance, Operations and Compliance divisions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing and/or reviewing daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
- Assisting with the preparation of various regulatory reports including the FFIEC 101, Call Report, FR 2900 etc.
- Interacting with service providers/process owners (i.e. business units, operations, controllers).
- Performing general ledger account reconciliations.
- Performing various adhoc requests, including assistance with presentations and researching accounting, operational and/or regulatory inquiries
- Ensuring that the Bank maintains a strong internal control environment (due diligence procedures, policies and procedures documentation).
Skills Required:
• Ambitious, analytical, self motivated individual with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize conflicting demands
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Accounting / Finance degree (proficiency in US GAAP accounting)
• 5+ years related work experience
