Bank Reconciliation Team Leader/Legal Cashier

This large Legal Firm based in the heart of Sheffield City Centre are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier/Reconciliation Team Leader to cover maternity leave for 12 months.
You will need to have previous experience within a similar environment to be considered for this position.

Reporting directly to the Team Manager you will be responsible for the following duties;

Ensuring all daily bank reconciliations and monthly reporting are carried out within SRA Accounts rules, agreed SLA's and firms policy.
Production of daily reports to support the accounts department and Cash management.
Managing a team of 5 Cashiers - making sure that the smooth running of the department is maintained at all times.
Liaising with banks to manage and maintain the bank mandates and contact details.
Calculation of transfers betweens the firm's bank accounts.
Maintenance and management of suspense accounts.
Processing of return of unpaid and out of date cheques.
Performance, absence management and recruitment for the team.
Carrying out appraisals - setting targets for the team.

To be considered for this position you MUST have previous experience within a legal department, have previous supervisory experience and be able to commit to a 12 month fixed term contract.
