Base III Regulatory Specialist
The Basel III Regulatory Specialist will provide expert support on public disclosure by:
Carrying out in-depth reviews, analyses and peer comparisons of published financial information and Pillar 3 reports to identify areas of best practice and develop proposals for improved public disclosure by banks and insurers
Generating evidence-based policy proposals on disclosure of regulatory information to complement the focus on accounting-based disclosures in published financial statements;
Participating in the development of UK and international strategy on public disclosure of regulatory information through internal and external work streams, including industry initiatives and international working groups;
Responding to disclosure-related queries within the organisation and from external stakeholders (banks, insurers, audit firms, trade bodies, analysts, other UK and international regulators);
Building and maintaining effective relationships with preparers and users of Pillar 3 and accounting disclosures to ensure policy proposals reflect market needs and regulatory requirements;
Participating from time to time in various types of thematic work;
Drafting papers to supervisors, senior management on technical and strategic disclosure policy proposals
