Basic Level F-22 Instructor Pilot
Position Description Instructor Pilot at the Langley AFB, VA, F-22 Mission Training Center (MTC). Brief, conduct and debrief Mission Qualification and Continuation Training Instrument, Emergency Procedures, and tactical missions in the F-22 MTC. Maintain currency in F-22 tactics and employment standards. Brief, conduct, and debrief 2 and 4-ship Flight Lead and Instructor Pilot Upgrade missions. Fly in the simulator cockpit as a Wingman or 2-Ship Flight Lead on tactical sorties. Coordinate and instruct multi-site Distributed Mission Operations exercises. Be a Subject Matter Expert on aircraft systems. Develop input for developing and modifying flight manuals, for defining training requirements, standards and curriculum, and for schedules and related documentation. Serve as a training liaison and interface directly with military combat aircraft customers. Other Job related information Flight experience within the last 5 years in F-15, F-16, F/A-18, F-117, F-22 or comparable fighter aircraft is required (qualified within the last 4 years desired). Experience as an FTU Instructor desired. Experience as a simulator instructor and as an academic platform instructor desired. Current Secret security clearance required. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance and maintain this security clearance and Special Access Program access during the period of employment. Relocation benefit not available.
