The Company
A multinational insurance company is looking for a Business Continuity Management consultant. The role is for a 12 months engagement.
The Role
As a business continuity management consultant, you will report to theTeam Lead and will be responsible for the following:
- Develop, document and communicate business continuity and disaster recovery procedures throughout the organization, and ensure the documents are reviewed regularly and information kept up-to-date.
- Implement and coordinate tests of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Consult with management and other personnel regarding needs for data, computers, communications equipment, personnel requirements, processing schedules, and regulatory and legal responsibilities for business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Evaluate requirements and arranges with off-site facilities for data archiving, storage and access.
- Manage and review the BCP and DRP in the AIA data centres.
- Coordinate to conduct annual DR drill for AIASS HK.
- Ensure the group level outsourcing vendor's disaster recovery drill conducted effectively and timely.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of BCP and DRP policy standards.
- Review AIA BCP and DRP solution and monitor the implementation of approved solution.
- Provide regular reports to management about AIA IT BCP and DRP.
- Other related assignments as instructed.
Your Profile
To qualify for the system analyst, you will have the following:
- Hold at least 8 years business continuity and or disaster recovery and awareness management experience
- Degree in computer science
- Must be fluent in English, mandarin and Cantonese
- Must be able to read and write English
- Experience with disaster recovery drill coordination preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with iSeries, UNIX / Linux, Windows and Internet gateway is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work with all levels from end users, vendors to executive management
- Flexibility with travel, may travel around Asia
- Ability to work with different cultures
- Immediately available is highly preferred and will be considered first
