The key responsibilities for these positions are as follows: -Provide technical expertise and leadership as team leader/member for new product development projects through all phases of the product engineering development life cycle. -Provide sustainment engineering and product upgrade support for existing Bendix King Display and Integrated System products. -Ensure execution of product certification requirements, including any function-specific quality and certification requirements.
Basic Qualifications: -Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related fields. -10 + years product development experience throughout the product development life cycle, including qualification and/or certification. Additional Qualifications:
-Direct application of avionics systems, software, and hardware development processes and standards, including ARP4754, DO-160D, and DO-178B and product specific Technical Standard Order(s).
-Demonstrated working knowledge of applying certification and qualification requirements to a product / airplane certification program. -Knowledge and experience in the development, integration and test of electronic display systems and their interfaces.
-Demonstrated ability to generate requirements, test, integration and certification plans, as applicable to the specific product/domain area. -A strong project management background with demonstrated experience in leading product development programs. -Understand all engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, software,) with product development expertise in at least one area. -Ability to development and drive consistent and efficient engineering processes. -Ability to communicate effectively (internally) with all engineering disciplines, as well as with test services, production teams, and engineering leadership, both on a project as well as a detailed technical level. -Ability to communicate effectively with external suppliers, subcontractors, and customers. -Ability to lead cross-functional engineers (systems, software, and hardware), both local and virtual, to ensure project success. -Expertise in a specific technical area that can be applied across any project (i.e., systems safety analysis, qualification testing, certification testing). -Ability to perform complex technical tasks and manage challenging performance cost and schedule requirements. -A private pilot's license is highly desirable
