Bid Manager – Social Housing Maintenance & Decent Homes Job in Surrey, Southern Uk

My client is a national contractor with a proven track record in delivering social housing refurbishment (Decent Homes) and repairs/mainteance/gas servicing contracts for Local/Central Government, Housing Associations and RSL clients.

Reporting in to the Head of Business Development, you will work with a team of Bid Writers and Bid Co-ordinators, supporting senior team members in successful delivery of pre-qualifications, proposals and tenders.


Key Responsibilities:

* To report to the Commercial Manager

* Develop and manage the Bid Plan for ITT and PQQ submissions

* To analyse tender documents and research the specific client to develop targeted proposals that meet the client’s needs and aspirations

* Write ITT Quality and PQQ responses to produce market leading final proposals

* To be responsible for are clear, concise and well written proposals

* To be responsible for always meeting agreed timescales in the Bid Plan

* Communicate and liaise with Bid Managers, BDMs, Operations Managers and other senior managers to ensure that the proposals are reflective of the business and individual client’s needs and aspirations

* Proof read documents

* Produce case studies and method statements as needed

* To be responsible for effective communication between the client and company throughout the bid process

* To liaise with the commercial team in the development of the Price Proposals and be responsible for the production of the final price document(s)

* To be responsible for the completion of all compliant and variable bid documents, liaising sourcing input from other Managers as required

* To manage the Bid Designer in the production of excellent final bid documents

* To be responsible for developing excellent relationships with key clients prior to, during and after the procurement timeline

* Manage the site visits and interviews. To produce, with the support of Operational Managers, excellent presentations, delivering as needed


Knowledge and Experience:

* IT literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Email. Excellent with Word

* Extensive knowledge and experience of the social housing market

* Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills

* Excellent organisational and planning skills

* Preferably a proven track record writing / managing bids in the social housing maintenance sector


Ideal Candidate:


You will possess strong organisational and project management skills, an eye for detail and meticulous proof-reading and communication skills both written and verbal, together with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
