Human Resources Generalist

Summary:

Supports the overall organizational objectives in a nonunion manufacturing environment with up to 1000 employees by providing professional human resources management to the assigned work teams.  This position reports to the Director of Human Resources, Atrium NTX.

·         Recruits and assist supervisors in the interview and selection process for all hourly staffing

·         Manages the compensation system to include hires, transfers, and promotions in your assigned work teams

·         Supports supervisors in employee performance management and seeks to provide solutions that encourage employee development and retention

·         Ensures compliance with all legal and company requirements as they relate to the recruitment, selection, promotions and terminations of personnel.

·         Understands and assist employee’s with questions and concerns related the company policies, benefits, and programs

·         Provides coaching and counseling to supervisors for their own professional development

·         Engages in the development of process improvements and policy implementations as a team member in the Human Resources department.

·         Proactively seeks personal skills development opportunities that enhance departmental service levels

·         Creates and retains reports on specific human resources metrics that track individual and departmental performance.

·         Participates on cross functional teams and supports overall team effectiveness

·         Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Educational /Skills Requirements

·         4 year related college degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources

·         Generalist competency level (2+ years)

·         Supervisory/Field HR Advisor experience preferred

·         Bilingual in Spanish/English required

·         PHR certification is a plus

·         Proficient Computer Skills (MS Office Suites)

·         Excellent Organizational and Service skills

·         Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills
