Our client is a leading energy supplier to the Northern Ireland market. Due to growth within the team they are now seeking to appoint a Billing Administration Assistant.

Reporting to the Customer Billing Manager, the Billing Assistant will provide first class customer care to post take on gas and electricity customers delivering brand values at the highest level. The post holder will play a key role in billing activities, and will provide administrative support as required within the Billing Department.

Key Priorities

Demonstrating first class customer care and delivering brand values, answer incoming calls, advising or re-directing as appropriate.
Process account queries, incentive grants and customer payments
Administration of complaints through to resolution
Gain thorough knowledge of and administer all customer payments and payment queries
Assist with credit control and debt management
Coordinate meter reading schedules and process meter readings accurately

Responsibilities to include

Administration of customer detail changes, including new and final accounts
Administration of electricity tariffs and market message management
Set up direct debits / BACS / electronic funds transfers/ bank giro credits / customer refunds, including management of budget direct debits
Coordinate bank lodgements and reconciliations
Administration of telephone and on line payments
Operate minicom (textphone) facility / monitor self read facility
Assist with customer support projects as required (eg typing, mail shots, copying etc)
Undertake any additional duties as directed by the Customer Billing Manager

Qualifications/Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills Experience

Essential

Minimum 5 passes at GCSE level Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Maths
Previous experience in customer facing role in commercial or financial environment
Excellent IT, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work on own initiative and to prioritise workload

Desirable:

Familiarity with customer account/billing processes desirable but not essential
