Role Synopsis
Under minimal supervision the Billing Manager will drive process standardization, efficiency operational improvements in a newly formed billing organization in the Gulf of Mexico and implement the structure in other geographical locations.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Oversee day to day operations by ensuring invoices are created and transmitted to customers accurately and timely
- Will also work with internal and external customers to resolve billing collection issues and participate in internal customer audits Train and mentor new and experienced billers
- Prepare and distribute billing / revenue reports showing progress toward key performance measurements
- Handle other duties and projects assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- 5+ years experience in Billing is required
- 3+ years supervisory experience required
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task
- Advanced attention to detail while being able to understand and meet higher level company goals
- Must be able to work well in firm deadline environment
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills a must
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Programs with Excel being a must
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- Financial reporting experience is preferred
- Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Knowledge of SAP
- Experience with managing financial budgets preferred.
- Project management skills strongly preferred
