Billings Controller

Billings controller - Legal industry - 3 month FTC - up to £28K

This three month fixed term contract position for an Assistant Revenue Controller has arisen within a leading law firm. This exciting opportunity would be ideal for someone with strong proven credit control or billings experience from a previous law firm or partnership background.

The ideal candidate will be articulate, highly analytical with a determination to succeed. You will have excellent Excel skills and have in-depth knowledge of how the legal system works with regards to revenue control processes and procedures.

Reporting to the Revenue Manager, there will be a strong focus on building relationships with both internal and external contacts.

Key responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to;

- Liaising with practice groups and fee earners to review revenue balances, discuss write offs, draft bills, debtor balances, query resolution and risk management
- Chase for payment of invoices from clients by letters and telephone
- Ensuring all instructions to action billing proformas, write offs (WIP, disbursements and debt), time transfers, file closures, ARCS updates are processed in a timely manner.
- Produce periodic billings for key clients

Along with these duties, you will also be responsible for credit control and revenue processes as a whole.
