Role description

The Blackbelt Six Sigma Change Leader role is achallenging and high profile role within a team driving a major transformational change of the Global Risk function of a major banking client based in London. Primary responsibilities are to support the implementation of the RiskStrategic Target Operating Model (TOM) through:

• Driving the implementation of an emerging portfolio of major change projects.
• Leading the re-engineering of core Risk processes using Lean Sigma tools and techniques to drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements and create 'one best way' of running them
The role provides a unique opportunity to help shape the future operating model of the Risk function, to work across all businesses and to gain exposure to senior stakeholders across the Function.
The One Risk programme is defining and implementing the Strategic Target Operating Model (TOM) for the Risk Function comprising c.5,500 people across the Group.

Blackbelt Six Sigma Change Leader Key Accountabilities:

Change Management (70%)
Leading and supporting the emerging portfolio of change projects that will deliver the Strategic target operating model for the Global Risk function:
• Running and being accountable for delivery of a series of change projects - may involve either leading and/or supporting implementation depending on size/complexity
• Stakeholder managing the projects through to implementation
• Planning adequately to help manage and mitigate risks and issues
• Thinking innovatively and acting pragmatically to quickly resolve or otherwise escalate issues that threaten to delay / derail implementation
Process Improvement (30%)
• Identification and execution of opportunities to drive significant improvements to processes across the Risk function:
• Running workstreams end to end using Lean Sigma tools and techniques to identify and implement improvement opportunities, through to handover to BAU
• Creation / enhancement of KPIs for key operational processes covering productivity, quality, cycle time etc
• Being accountable for benefits delivery
• Owning the stakeholder management of a portfolio of improvement initiatives to ensure buy in
• Maintaining and developing ongoing relationships with other Lean Sigma experts across the business

Who we're looking for

For the Blackbelt Six Sigma Change Leader role we are looking for lean Six Sigma Black Belts with previous banking or Financial Services experience, ideally within risk. This is a London based role.

• Significant experience of managing change, ideally in a financial services environment
• Strong planning, organisation and coordination skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
• A positive 'can do' approach
• Ability to think innovatively to problem solve and to think laterally
• Significant proven experience in the practical application of Lean Sigma tools and techniques, ideally in a financial services environment to Lean Sigma Black Belt standard.
• Proven stakeholder management skills to MD level
• Analytical ability
• Excellent negotiating and influencing skills
• Strong commercial judgement
• Ability to cope with a steep learning curve
