Black Belt/Operation Excellence/Lean Leader

      

Tyco Flow Control (TFC) is the largest manufacturer of valves, actuators and associated flow control products in the world, serving the oil and gas, chemical, power generation, petrochemical, waterworks and pulp and paper industries, as well as the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and specialty markets.  TFC generates nearly $4BB dollars in revenue and employs 15,000 associates in over 80 locations around the glove.  TFC Americas has an exciting opportunity for an Operational Excellence Black Belt Leader in our Mansfield, Massachusetts location.
 
 ·        Lead/execute/track and report high impact projects using DMAIC methodology demonstrating measurable hard savings impact.
·         Cultivate the improvement of processes through the application of Six Sigma and Lean by the mentoring Green Belts.
·         Responsible for project progress reporting and database oversight for both their projects and those of mentored Green Belts in the area of responsibility.
·         Provide formal training in both Six Sigma and Lean process improvement methodologies across disciplines.  Train and lead exercises in the TCCA Green Belt training sessions.
·         Discover application opportunities for strategies and tools, both internal and external (e.g., suppliers and customers).
·         Promote Six Sigma and Lean in the organization and drive culture change.
·         Assist organization leaders to challenge conventional thinking and identify improvement opportunities in areas such as Operations, Sales and Service.
·         Lead/support Green Belts and Green Belt teams, including the planning and delivery of training and coaching to achieve business results.
·         Identify business project opportunities through partnerships across the organization.
·         Provide project support for assigned Americas Operational Excellence initiatives.
·         Requires approximately 20% travel for projects and mentoring assignments.

·         Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline required - preferably in industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
·         3 years minimum full-time Black Belt experience.
·         Black Belt training from a 4 week equivalent Black Belt Program; certification a plus.
·         Lean experience required including implementation history.
·         Ability to close Six Sigma and Lean projects in both manufacturing and transactional business environments.
·         Demonstrated project management skills.
·         Ability to influence others and build teams.
·         Superior oral and written communication.
·         Excellent computer skills, Minitab a plus.
