The Role:

The Bloomberg Professional service is the heart of Bloomberg, the ubiquitous terminal that sits on the desk of influential decision makers in finance, business and government. Using your polished consultative sales skills, you will identify and develop new business while actively growing current account relationships. With your in-depth understanding of clients' workflow needs, you will demonstrate how the Bloomberg Professional service singularly provides the real-time news, data and analytical tools the customers need to make informed, strategic and profitable decisions. You will work closely with Product Development to use client feedback to strengthen and expand the product. You will also have complete ownership of your business, from sales strategy and prospecting to consultation and closing. At Bloomberg, we invest in extensive training that focuses on products, the financial markets, and sales coaching to ensure sales representatives have the skills they need to succeed.

Responsibilities include:
-Prospecting and generating new sales leads and growth through referrals, cold-calling and market research within your given client base.
-Working closely with clients to have a clear understanding of their business needs, and providing consultative solutions to build stronger relationships .
-Maximizing client knowledge, usage and dependency on the Bloomberg Professional service through strategic, proactive support.
-Having a comprehensive understanding of our suite of products and solutions, to identify opportunities to educate and position for our client needs.
-Demonstrating credibility with a proven competency and knowledge of the financial services sector.
-Influencing the direction of our products by providing feedback to Bloomberg's business managers on user workflow demand, competitor intelligence, and market trends.

Qualifications:
-Minimum 3+ years of experience in sales.
-Strong interest and knowledge in financial markets/banking a must.
-Proven new business development, relationship and territory management skills.
-Extremely proactive, detailed, responsible and able to work well with a team.
-Highly articulate, consultative and confident in sales approach and strategy.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills.
-Willingness to travel extensively to meet demands of client territory/base.
-Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
